Most houses in our service area have sump pumps. The primary job of these pumps is to remove ground water from the home. D'Angelo's has performed service on thousands of sump pumps over the last 40 plus years. Yes, I believe that qualifies us as experts. We can offer many different choices to fit our customer's needs.
There are two main styles of sump pumps, pedestal and submersible. Pedestal style will have a motor on the top and will rise above the sump crock. With the motor on top, a pedestal pump will generally be nosier. This type of pump are generally considered to be "home-store" models and inferior to the submersible style. Submersible-style pumps are designed to be mounted entirely into the sump basin or crock. This style pump is sealed to prevent electrical shorts. Because submersible pumps are in the crock and submersed in the water they are quieter and less obtrusive. Submersibles are considered "professional grade" and is the style that we prefer.
